Anchor Tag issue

Hi there- We are trying to use Anchor tags to skip to a specific section on a long page of content. We are using a menu dropdown with links to the actual section to make navigation very easy. If i’m on the page and then use the specific menu with the anchor tag, it works nicely (on desktop and mobile). However if i’m on the home page and try to use the menu nav, it does not work on desktop. However it works on mobile! When I disable one-page-navigation, the menu links work (however without the padding so the anchor tag goes right under the main menu). As soon as I check one-page-navigation, it stops working again.

We are using the full absolute link so that way we can navigate to the right page and anchor tag from any page on the website.

Would anyone have any thoughts on this? Seems to be something weird.
