Home Page Modules Not Full Width

*Hi – my last question on this was marked resolved and it was not resolved.

This is my original question:
Hello – I am adding text modules on the home page and adding color to the backgrounds to break up the sections. I have the theme set to full width, however, the modules are acting more like they’re a fixed-width and have space around the edges (see images). How can I ensure they go all the way to the edge of the window (responsive)? Please note: I am not talking about the slider image/header here. Thank you!

Suggestion – to edit this in the Visual Composer. My theme does not have the Visual Composer option in the page editor. Where can I find this or how can I install this so it is an option?
