How to get the included sample Child Theme

Hi! We’re wanting to create a child theme, and read that the download of the theme includes a sample child theme. It was a long time ago when we installed the theme, so we’re not sure where that download is anymore, and we’re assuming there have been updated versions since there anyways. Can you direct me how to re-download the theme so we have access to the child theme?

Or – is this the best way to do this? We tried to follow the WordPress instructions (https://developer.wordpress.org/themes/advanced-topics/child-themes/) and were very confused about the php portion of the instructions (we are not experts, I fear).
