Old Accordion vs Accordion

I have tried to look up this question but I see different answers and it is confusing as some tickets say they are the same. So here goes:

I like the Old Accordion Element but see no way to control the size of the Title font, spacing, or gap.
While the other Accordion Element can control those settings it only appears to let set those but I want to color only the +- box.

Any Suggestions?
