After Demo Import, no menus and broken image links

After doing the Demo content import, I have found there is no menu, and most image links are not placeholders, but actually broken image links.

Is the site supposed to be like this after a content import? I know there will not be the images shown at Themeforest, but there seems to be other issues which makes me think the import is not working correctly in the first place.

I have upped PHP hosting specs above the requirements in the list below
