page visual editor and such are not working correctly

about 2 months ago my visual editor disappeared. Since we had recently pulled the site from the developer’s hosting to a new hosting, and since we have had other issues related to that, I decided that must be the reason. Then the site was asking for updates and so I purchased the plug ins, and now have purchased the theme again. I am not sure how to get the theme to update? There still is no visual editor.

Please direct me how to update the theme, I am not good at this back end stuff ..
