Responsive Rows and Columns

I have read the discussion at themeforest and I have searched here. I need to hide sections or rows based on device size. I tried adding visibility-whatever but the row just disappears. I have tried adding multiple classes to the row but it disappears.

I saw a discussion on themeforest that said you could use hidden-sm-down so i tried that on columns and rows with and with out the leading “.”

The bootstrap classes have no effect.

I also saw that you were going to try to fix this – in a comment about 2 months ago. To return the VC show/hide element functionality to Unicon.

How can I achieve this functionality? On small devices I need to remove content… the scroll is just too long.
