Hi Phil – I have a couple questions regarding the search Results Page.

Question 1).
I’ve updated the search.php with the following code to display excerpts:
<div class=”entry-content”><?php echo wp_kses_post(minti_custom_excerpt(100)); ?></div>

BUT I also need the code to add to functions.php for the excerpt field to show up in Pages. The link on ticket #84393 is not working. Can you please provide the code and instructions on where exactly to add it to functions.php?

Question 2).
The search results that shows up for media files (PDF’s) are not linking directly to the file, rather it gos to a page with a link to seems to want to open a file with Lightbox… Is it possible to have the results for media files(PDF’s) link directly to the media file?

For an example; If you go to the website ( https://wcid1.com/ ) and search for “Meter Installation Project Status Map” the first result has a link to a page rather than a direct link to the media file ( https://wcid1.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/MeterCompletion-As-Of-20230907.pdf )
