Trailing > after sidebar widget : custom menu

Working with a child-theme http://www.ontariotraffictickets.com/ontariospeeding/

You’ll notice there is a > between the left sidebar and the content area. The sidebar is actually added to the page template using VC and when I remove the Widgetized element, it disappears. When I remove the custom menus found within the widget the > disappears… so it doesn’t seem to be coming from the widgetized element of VC or the text widget but the custom menus widget. I figured it was the same styling found in the custom menus of the footer but I can’t seem to remove it.
