“To receive automatic updates license activation is required.”

That activation message can be ignored. When you purchase a theme that includes the Visual Composer plugin, there is not an individual purchase code for the plugin – it’s an extended license for us theme developers. You can only register the plugin if you have purchased the plugin by itself outside of a theme purchase with a single license – nevertheless, it’s the exact same version.
